The way the ornament swap works is that you make an ornament and swap it with some else who made one. There is no theme or preferred medium for making the ornaments.

The only hard rules for the ornaments are ...
- that the finished piece must be small and light enough to hang on a tree
- the ornament must be made and not bought (you could decorate a bought one)
- there is a limit of 3 ornaments per person (if you give 3 you get 3)
- ornaments must be made in the spirit of giving ... not getting
- blatantly offensive ornaments will not be swapped (racist, hateful, etc. ...use common sense)
- no dead things

This swap is open to all Letterheads and Pinheads...
it does not matter if you celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza, Festivus or Thursdays.
Peace on earth, good will toward man and all that crap ... this meant to be fun.

The way it will (plans to) work is...
As soon as you finish making an ornament send a picture of it (preferably no bigger than 500 pixels square) along with your address where you will receive your ornament to ornamentswap@slamgraphics.com.
I will decorate the above tree with them as they are received up to the cutoff date of
Saturday Dec. 15th
All ornaments (pictures) received by Dec. 15th will receive a number ...
numbers will be drawn from a hat to be shipped to the next number drawn. (ornaments are not directly swapped)
Numbers will be drawn Dec. 16, then you are expected to ship your ornament(s) within the next week to your draw recipient.
(*** keep in mind that if you make 3 ornaments you may (probably) have to ship them to 3 different people ... international packages are best shipped air mail to hopefully get there before the end of the year)

Have some creative holiday fun with it ... that's the whole (and only) point.

The ornament swap is like a panel swap except the "panels" are meant to be holiday ornaments for a tree (at least theoretically).
